The beginning of the year is one of my absolute favorite times! I love the chance to start over, to examine the past and look toward the future.
If you’ve been following The Orthodox Mama for any length of time, you’ll know what a big goal-setting fanatic I am. 🙂 So, the New Year is an excellent time to reevaluate my priorities and set new goals for the upcoming year. (You can read more about how Goal-Setting Changed My Entire Life.)
This year I thought I would share a few of my favorite free (or really cheap!) resources that might help you as you set your own goals for 2017.
In no particular order, here are:
Top 10 Best (Free or Inexpensive) Resources to Help You Rock the New Year
1. Make Over Your Year Course ($29)
This goal-setting course will help you learn all about how to understand your personal priorities and make goals that fit your life. I learned everything I know about goal-setting from Crystal Paine and love her teaching style!
2.Budget Binder (free)
If getting on track financially is one of your priorities in 2017, this FREE budget binder is just the thing for you. It’s super cute, practical, and you can print it off yourself at home. Abby at Just a Girl and Her Blog makes super cute printables, and this is one of her best.
3. 100 Days of Real Food by Lisa Leake (currently $20 on Amazon)
I have been thinking more and more about the food that I am feeding my children, and I am considering making a change. This book helped me feel that it was very possible to feed my family, real (unprocessed), healthy, organic food. It isn’t a book filled with lots of facts and research (although there is some), but is instead a practical guide that includes 100 great recipes. If you’ve ever considered changing your diet to a more natural one, you should definitely check it out.
4. Goal-Setting Worksheets (free)
Another cute set of printables from Just a Girl and Her Blog. I personally use these to help me organize my week.
5. 2017 Reading Challenge (free)
Anne from Modern Mrs. Darcy organizes a really fun reading challenge each year. If you’d like to read more in 2017 and need a little guidance and encouragement from fellow readers, this is for you!
6. Make Over Your Mornings ($17)
One of my absolute favorite courses ever. Becoming more intentional about using my mornings well has helped me start each day focused on my priorities. The course has excellent videos, a workbook, and more. (You can read more about how Changing My Mornings Changed My Entire Life.)
7. Habit Tracker (free)
If you have a new habit that you’d like to cultivate in the new year (drinking more water, stay off of social media, etc.), this cute printable from Morning Motivated Mom can help you out.
8. Grocery University ($10)
This audio-course from Money Saving Mom can help you reduce your grocery budget, learn how to coupon, and save money each week. Well worth the price!
9. Goal-Setting Workbook (free)
This is a wonderful little resource from Ruth at Living Well Spending Less that will help you set your own goals for the new year. Many cute printables that will walk you through the entire process.
10. Printable Cleaning Schedule (free)
I would love to find a cleaning schedule that will help me stay on top of the housework. This year I am going to give this one from Freebie Finding Mom a whirl!
So, there you have it! I hope that you’ll find at least one of these to be helpful as you begin the new year.
