I am so excited today to have a guest post over on Six Figures Under! Six Figures Under has been one of my favorite blogs for the past year and a half–even before I started my own. Stephanie shares frugal tips, recipes, and her family’s journey to pay off their six figure law school debt. Here is a snippet from my post today:
It’s that time of year again. That time when the Christmas presents have been put away, the New Year has been ushered in, and all across America you can hear a collective groan as people weigh themselves after the holidays. Millions make resolutions to lose weight, to go to the gym each day, and to finally fit into those pre-pregnancy jeans again.
If you have made a similar resolution, you may be tempted to go out and spend a bunch of money on the latest in-home gym equipment, electronic fitness helper, or personal trainer. However, if you are on a tight budget, that might not be prudent or even possible.

There are so many free online fitness resources to use! I look for free videos or specific workouts online. I just posted a list on my blog last week.
My favorite free workout is a walk or run outside though.
Heading over to read the post!
I am definitely going to go check out your post on online workout videos. I’m always up for new ones!
Congrats on your guest post! I’m off to check it out!
Thanks, Erin! I was pretty excited.
I loved being a member of our YMCA when my youngest was a preschooler. It was so nice to be able to schedule time to care for myself, and then do something fun with him after my class or workout. I haven’t been a member of a gym for a few years now and enjoy running, walking, and Youtube fitness videos! I agree that cost does not have to keep you from moving!
I also don’t have a gym membership at the moment–I do look forward to a time where it does fit in our budget, though! I think the Y would be a great place to join as a family.
