Hello Friends!
Today’s post is going to be a little outside of the norm. I want to give you a peek into my life and let you know of some big changes that are happening right now. Don’t worry, I’ll be back with more tips, resources, and ideas for living out the Faith in your family life next week. 🙂
Our Family’s Big News
A Big Move
Our family will be moving to Boston in just a few weeks!
We have so enjoyed our last few years here in Virginia, and it will be hard to leave our friends and church family. The memories we have made are some of the most precious in my life:
-Andrew began kindergarten, played on his first sports teams, and made his first confession here.
-Elizabeth was born, baptized, and began preschool here.
-George was born and baptized here.
-Dan completed his PhD here.
-And I taught over 600 seventh graders, wrote my first book, and grew more deeply rooted in our beautiful Orthodox faith here.
Yes, it will be hard to leave Virginia.
A New Trajectory
But our reasons for moving have me really excited to see all that God has in store for us! We are moving so that my husband Dan can attend Holy Cross Theological Seminary in the hopes, Lord willing, of serving the Church through the priesthood.
It’s a new path, but one that we have felt God leading us toward for quite awhile.
Prayer Requests
With all of these changes, I would really and truly appreciate your prayers. If you are able, would you be able to pray for our family?
Please pray:
-That our children would adjust well to their new home, new schools, and new friends.
-That God would give us wisdom in choosing schools for our children.
-That I would find a job.
-That God would strengthen our marriage during this busy time.
-That God would bless my husband as he begins this new stage.
Thank you all so much! I am grateful for all of you and the community we have built here.

Sarah,
Welcome (perhaps in advance) to Boston! Our family lives in central MA, and attend a parish in Webster, but we have more family in Boston with connections to Holy Cross. I hope your move and transitions are peaceful for all. May it be blessed.
