Hello! My name is Sarah Wright, and I am so glad you’ve found me on Orthodox Motherhood! I am an Eastern Orthodox Christian, a wife to my wonderful husband, Father Daniel, a mama to three energetic children, and a full-time middle school teacher. I am also the author of the book 101 Orthodox Saints, from Ancient Faith Publishing.
I have gone through seasons of my life where I was completely overwhelmed by the expectations of the world. I thought that I needed to be the perfect wife, mother, teacher, and Christian. I should have a sparkling house, children who never cried in Church, and a full-time career. That was, of course, in addition to the marathon that I should run, the charities that I should support, and the Pinterest-worthy craft projects I should do with my children.
Perfect. Should. Two words that suck the joy out of life.
And so I decided to prioritize. I took a good look at my life and decided that there were three things that were important to me: Faith. Family. Intentional Living.
This blog is a place to share those passions with others. So, pull up a chair and sit awhile. I’m happy you’re here.
I would love to tell you the story of how I became an Orthodox Christian. Then, I’d love to hear your stories.
